The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has cautioned members of the group and other Igbos, from condemning Catholic priest, Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka. Mbaka has been in the news for calling for the impeachment or resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari for his incompetence in governing the nation.

Hours after the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu State, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka, resurfaced on Wednesday after being incommunicado, the Catholic Diocese of Enugu suspended the controversial cleric for one month. It was learnt from sources in the Catholic Diocese that the Reverend Father was suspended not because of his political missiles towards the Muhammadu Buhari government.

Nigerians have taken to social media to lambast the Catholic church over the suspension of Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu, Fr Ejike Mbaka. Anaedoonline.ng reported how the Catholic Diocese of Enugu suspended Mbaka from church activities for one month over his political escapades.

Gunmen on Wednesday night kidnapped some students of Abia State University, Uturu. It was also gathered that the gunmen whisked the students into the forest shortly after they ambushed them while journeying on a bus along Okigwe-Uturu Road. There appears to be more of such attacks in the South-East recently.
