Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor has said that his administration will show faith in the youths by accepting the responsibility of their development and empowerment if elected the Governor of Anambra State. The Governorship Aspirant who was in Ezira, Orumba South Local Government Area in Anambra, today, Tuesday, 11th May 2021, to interact with members of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the L.G.A, stated that he will institutionalize youth development and entrepreneurship in the state.

A Chieftain of Young Progressive Party (YPP) and a strong ally of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Sir Anosike Hugo, has defected to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Anambra Lawmaker, Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor has called for a free and fair primary election ahead of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Anambra 2021 Governorship election primaries scheduled for June 23rd. Nonso Okafor who made the call today, Tuesday, 11th May 2021, during his consultation meeting with members of APGA in Orumba North, said that although All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) is not known for conducting fraudulent primaries, all efforts must be geared towards a free and fair primary election.

The Governors of Southern Nigeria, comprising South East, South-South, and southwest Governors, met and had extensive discussions. They came out to ban open grazing in all seventeen southern states, called for a review of the federal allocations formula and demanded that Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Retd) call for a national dialogue to discuss the numerous agitations and disquiet in the regions of the country.

The embattled leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has reacted to the allegation that the group is plotting an attack in Lagos. Earlier reports have it that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, on Monday, May 10, said the state Police Command is investigating the separatist group, Oodua Republic, and also the threat by the proscribed IPOB to attack soft targets in the state.
