A Chieftain of Young Progressive Party (YPP) and a strong ally of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Sir Anosike Hugo, has defected to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Hugo Anosike who is one of the major political field marshals of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was formally received into APGA, yesterday, Tuesday 11th May, 2021, in Otolo Ward 2, in Nnewi North Local Government of Anambra State.
Although the reason for his defection is not yet known at the time of writing, It is believed that his political future was no longer guaranteed with his continued loyalty to the Senator, who is contesting for the 2021 Anambra State Governorship election.
Anaedoonline.ng gathered that Sir Anosike’s defection is unconnected with the recent dissatisfaction in Senator Ubah’s camp after the recent inauguration of Young Progressive Party (YPP) State Executives, where some of his loyalties were shot out.

The defection of Sir. Hugo Anosike is believed to be a huge plus for the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), going into Anambra 2021 Governorship election.
