Reno Omokri, the Former presidential media aide during the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has described the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a hypocrite.

He made the allegation in his reaction to Tinubu’s call for Nigerians to set politics apart and pray for President Muhammadu Buhari.

It recalled that Anaedoonline.ng reports that Tinubu urged Nigerians to put politics aside and pray for President Muhammadu Buhari for strength and wisdom to protect the nation.

He made this call on Wednesday in his Eid-el-Fitr message titled, ‘Let righteous acts, efforts of Ramadan continue to guide our actions.

Tinubu, who joined Muslims in Nigeria and across the world to mark the completion of this year’s Ramadan fast, stressed that fasting is a sign of complete devotion to God.

But in his reaction to the call, Omokri in a Twitter statement wondered why Tinubu didn’t call for Nigerians to pray for Jonathan but rather called for the former President’s resignation.

He wrote: “In a statement today, Bola @AsiwajuTinubu asked Nigerians to ‘put politics aside’ and pray for General @MBuhari.

“Tinubu is a hypocrite. Did he put politics aside to pray for then-President @GEJonathan?

“Instead, both Tinubu and Buhari asked Jonathan to resign!”

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct the electronic transmission of election results from polling units to a central server during the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.

EFCC BOSS: I’ll Resign If Anyone Tried To Make Me Act Illegally

The call was made in a statement on Tuesday by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan who noted that since INEC plans to conduct electronic registration of voters, it should be able to transmit election results electronically as well.
