Super eagles and Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has provided a reason for the fight between his teammates and Chelsea players towards the end of their Premier League on Tuesday.

The Blues climbed above the Foxes in the table and into the Champions League driving seat after the 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

And one of the talking points of the encounter was in injury time when a fight broke out between the Blues stars and Leicester City players.

It all began when Antonio Rudiger reacted to Leicester City right-back Ricardo Pereira’s late challenge on Ben Chilwell.

Iheanacho explained that he was only trying to calm things down by acting as peacemaker as tempers boiled over.

Iheanacho told Sky Sports, “Antonio Rudiger went aggressively on Ricardo Pereira and that is what caused the fight. I was telling him to calm down.”

Both sides could be fined by the FA for failing to control their players.

Iheanacho came off the bench to score his 12th league goals and nineteen in all competitions.

Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has issued a strong warning to his players after their 2-1 win over Leicester City on Tuesday.

Antonio Rudiger and Jorginho fired the Blues into third place in the Premier League table, while Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back for the visitors.

Another win for Chelsea over Aston Villa in their last league game on Sunday will guarantee them Champions League football next season.

Tuchel acknowledged the importance of the win but was quick to point out there is more work to do before the west London side can celebrate.

‘It’s a big step, but it’s only a step,” he told Sky Sports.

“It’s not done yet, we have to push it over the line on Sunday.

“But it’s not the time for celebrations, it’s not the time for praise, it’s not the time for thinking it’s more than three points.
