In a statement released by Oguwike Nwachuku his Chief Press Secretary, governor Uzodinma said 70 percent of the gunmen who were arrested are not Igbo.

The governor added that over 400 people who caused mayhem in the state have been arrested and charged to court. Uzodinma added that his administration will crush anybody that attempts to cause mayhem or attack Imo people again.

He added that the state government cannot surrender to blackmailers, hoodlums, and perpetrators of violence. Uzodinma called on the people to go about their business without fear of molestation or harassment.
