Students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) on Monday protested the abduction of their colleague, Toyinbo Olayinka. Reports has it that Olayinka, a 400-level student of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, was kidnapped Saturday, alongside a farmer and one other.

Some gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have snatched the wife of a youth leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Salawu Areokuta in Oyo State.Newsmen gathered on Monday that Mrs Arikeade Oni-Salawu was kidnapped on Sunday at the gate of her residence in Ibadan, at about 10 pm.
