A major stakeholder of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nnewi, Elder Samuel Egbuna has dumped his party for the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Chief Samuel who is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sorge Oil and Gas formally dumped the PDP after he registered and picked his APGA Membership card in his ward, Nnewichi Ward 1.

Although his reasons for dumping the People’s Democratic Party are not yet clear, however, it is believed that it may be connected with his aspiration to become the President General of Nnewichi.

Like what played out in Uruagu, where the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Organizer Oil and Gas, Chief Innocent Okoli, dumped his party, Young Progressive Party (YPP), few days to the Uruagu President-General election, Chief Egbuna popularly known as Osuegbu Nnewi has taken that path.

Although, Anaedoonline.ng cannot confirm, it is believed that there is a directive from the state government that anybody who must be elected as the President-General in any community in Anambra State, must be a registered member of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Whatever it is, the defection of Osuegbu Nnewi is a big plus for All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), in Nnewichi Ward 1.
