TB Joshua is gone but his power is not lost to death. Someone has been prepared to take over his mantle and continue to run the race of the prophecy, healing, and evangelism for the kingdom of God. Prophet TB Joshua died on June 5th but it seems the matter of his succession has been settled in the spirit world months ago.
According to Prophet Saviour Kal El (he predicted the demise of TB Joshua), God has chosen Prophet Magaya to take over from TB Joshua.
Early this year, Prophet Kal El saw a vision about TB Joshua and he made a video out of it and posted it on his Youtube page, Saviour TV, in January. In this video, Kal El predicted the disengagement of Prophet TB Joshua from his prophetic duty and the enthronement of another.
Saviour explained that he saw two powerful lights in his vision – one from heaven and one from the earth and that the heavenly light was beaming on Africa being “more powerful than the one coming from the earth. Then Prophet W. Magaya appeared and a voice said “This is the one God is backing”.
Then the vision shifted to TB Joshua in his office and the light was beaming from his chest. Then Prophet Magaya and his wife came into sight of the vision. Joshua was speaking from his heart about Magaya in “constant prayer and supplication” asking what he should do with Magaya.
A response from the throne of God in the form of “A sword clothed with cloud which came out swiftly from the mouth of Prophet TB Joshua and went straight to prophet W. Magaya and struck him on his chest. The thing turned to a cloud of smoke and enveloped Magaya and his wife.
They fell down and began to vibrate by the power of the Holy Spirit.
When you interpret this video side by side the second one released in May in which Prophet Saviour practically implied that TB Joshua was a prophet who had stuck in the ladder but who was busy preventing the rise of younger prophets, you would understand the implication of the vision.
Prophet W. Magaya has been selected to take over from TB Joshua.
Who is Prophet Walter Magaya?
Prophet Walter Magaya is the founder of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries located in Harare, Zimbabwe. Magaya is a self-avowed spiritual son of Prophet TB Joshua. “As much as he is in heaven,” Magaya said in a statement over the demise of TB Joshua, “I still wanted him here. Love you father… who will father me now?… who will call me at 2 am and say correct this and that?”
Prophet Magaya is said to have come into prominence by offering miracle healing and miracle money to the wary in a battered land-locked Zimbabwean economy. Similarly, TB Joshua rose to become a force through his healing ministry.
Prophet Magaya described as a “young, brash, and flashy religious figure” by the BBC is a controversial preacher. In February 2019, Magaya shot into the international limelight when he began to sell an organic called “aguma” which he claimed could cure aids in 14 days.
The authorities raided his home and arrested him and charged him with administering unapproved medicine.
Here are the other sides of TB Joshua
Controversy is something Magaya shares with TB Joshua who had been in trouble with the authorities for the collapse of a section of his synagogue in 2014 and who drew international liberal wrath when he tried to cure a gay man of his “affliction”.
In the controversial aspect, Prophet Magaya may prove to be TB Joshua’s father. TB Joshua has never been publicly accused of sexual improprieties but Magaya has a binder full of accusers. A lot of people have accused him of sexual misconduct, including impregnating a 17-year-old girl.
Magaya has also been accused of breaches of contract, blackmails, and extortions.

Prophet Magaya’s ministry is international as he has his church branches in Zambia and Australia.
Looking at his list of controversies, one would struggle to see how this character would fill in the giant shoes of TB Joshua, but, without making excuses for him, God doesn’t call the qualified. And this is not us; it is Apostle Paul of Tarsus in his first letter to the Corinthians.
