Currently, In Lagos State, The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is present to commission some projects carried out by the Federal Government.
Following the visit of the President to the South-West state, a heavy presence of security operatives has been deployed in some parts of the state.
President Buhari is currently at Ebute Meta Terminal of the Nigerian Railway Corporation for the commissioning ceremony of the Lagos Ibadan rail project and the flag off of commercial operations.
Dignitaries present at the event are Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State; Seyi Makinde of Oyo State; Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.
Also, Nobel Laureate Prof Wole Soyinka; Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola; Minister of Information Lai Mohammed, and several other dignitaries are also at the event.
Buhari after commissioning the rail project is expected to proceed to the Energy Nature Light Terminal of the Apapa Port to further commission the Integrated National Security and Waterways Protection Infrastructure, otherwise known as the Deep Blue Project.

Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad revealed this in a statement released on Wednesday.
“Construction started in March 2017, and test-running commenced in December 2020,” he wrote on his Facebook page.”
