Tomorrow 15th and next 16th June 2021 will determine the delegates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) primary election scheduled for the month end, precisely on June 23rd, 2021.

However it’s done, Governor Willie Obiano remains a reoccurring decimal in the equation.

Whether he succumbs to the whims and caprices of the cabal playing god in the party structure, the scum returns to him. And, if he succumbs to the due process in accordance to the guidelines laid by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, the glory returns to him.

Obiano! Let me ask you? Which path would you like to thread? Path of glory or path of infamy?

Already, there is a gathering storm of discotentement not only among the party elites, but supporters of the party as the only surviving Igbo party and reflection of the ideology of Ndigbo in present Nigeria.

It’s unbelievable to agree with the story making rounds that Governor Obiano is an abatross in the progress of the party survival and growth by subverting the party guidelines for Governorship election Primary to elect a candidate for the party. The story had it that he insists that some Aspirants must be disqualified to give way to his preferred candidate, whereas Primary Election is best to show his popularity in the party as Governor for 7 years.

How can that be possible when the death and survival of the party is upon his palms depending on how he manages it. I still doubt the allegations until tomorrow comes. Is it possible some cabals are playing in his intelligence? Can he be remote controlled after 7 years in office into an action viewed as anti party’s progress and development?

Who has hijacked APGA structure for selfish reasons under Obiano’s watch? Is APGA going or gone? Why should the directive of the National Executive Committee ( NEC) to the National Working Committee (NWC) on what to do be subverted? And why should some people better described as cabals be playing a script dropping Governor Obiano’s name to subvert people’s democratic rights? Should Obiano be seen as taking sides? What’s worst? Why can’t election hold in wards for delegates to emerge as stipulated by party guidelines? Why should we have a cabal dictating for party structure on such sensitive matter as primary?

If APGA is a movement, why the threats? Does threats win elections? Even if it wins primary in APGA for whatever it’s worth, what of the bad blood it has generated capable of destroying the party eventually in larger Election?

How can elites in APGA be ignored as well as party structure for a cabal in a sensitive election awaiting the party with opposition parties?

This insensitive move is the last straw that will destroy APGA if not stopped forthwith. Let election hold in wards on first day for one executive member as a delegate and second day for general Assembly of APGA to elect the second person as a delegate to make it two delegates from each ward. Political appointees shouldn’t get involved as stipulated by the party. Nothing more , nothing less! Everyone should go to the wards and face the Congress for selection of two man delegates. Unless, the APGA cabal wish to scuttle blazing the trail mantra of the Obiano adminstration unnecessary and bury APGA’s Religious dominance for good?

Elites should not be at war or perceived to be at war insitigated by a cabal without the interest of the party at heart with the Governor for he isn’t cut out for that now.

What’s my own in APGA! Nothing but free and fair Election since we are all Anambrarians. Needless overheating the polity by a cabal for Obiano , when there is enough iron on the fire for him rather than two man delegates Election of APGA. I am waiting!
