It’s no longer rumour on the abuse of civilian rights in the south east region by the Nigerian military as yesterday, soldiers of 14 Brigade, Army Headquarters invaded Ohafia in Ohafia Local Government, Abia State, searching for a soldier allegedly shot by gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network, ESN.

The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, on Saturday disclosed that the Sienna used by gunmen in the attacks in the state were provided by politicians during the election. Uzodinma further stated that he is compiling the names of the donors and would reveal it soon.

The Nigeria Police on Monday said GUO, Ezenwata and Young Shall Grow luxury buses were not hijacked by bandits on the Lokoja-Okene road. This was contained in a statement in Lokoja by the Kogi State Police Command spokesman, DSP William Aya.

The Labour Party has on Friday declared former banker Obiora Agbasimalo as the party governorship candidate for the 2021 elections in Anambra State. The technocrat turned politician, who is contesting for the first in his career, was unanimously voted as the flag bearer at the party’s governorship primaries held on Friday in Nnewi area of the state.
