On Wednesday 16th June 2021, Femi Fani-Kayode, The Minister of Aviation under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, disclosed people responsible for the murder of former Nigerian Head of State, Gen Sani Abacha, and MKO Abiola.

The former minister noted that Abacha was murdered by one of the bodyguards of the late Palestinian President, Yasser Arafat.

Fani-Kayode said Abacha was killed through poison after a handshake with Arafat’s bodyguard.

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain in a series of tweets alleged that the incident was done with the knowledge of the United States, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and two former Nigerian heads of state.

He further stated that the same people were responsible for the death of Abiola.

“This was done at the behest of the CIA. Two former Nigerian Heads of State and a former head of Military Intelligence who are also CIA agents knew about the plan.

“The same people decided that MKO Abiola had to be killed as well to balance the equation. The CIA, through Susan Rice and Ambassador Pickering, did the rest.
