The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari is only trying to divert attention from calls for restructuring with his comments on appointments.

Buhari on Monday said that he has been fair and inclusive with his appointments and policies.

Speaking in Abuja at a conference organised for youths in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Buhari denied allegations of nepotism and lopsided appointments.

But reacting while speaking to Vanguard, the deputy national publicity secretary of the PDP, Diran Odeyemi, said described the comment as deceptive and dodgy.

He said the president’s claim of fairness in policies and appointments is a ploy to deviate from the calls for restructuring by Nigerians of all walks of life.

Odeyemi said,”Even the President does not believe himself when he made that claim.

“President Buhari is only trying to run away from the calls for restructuring of the Nigerian state. How comes he is just remembering the fairness of his appointments and policies?
