Ahmed Bello once said and I quote “Nigeria is a mistake of 1914” do you believe this? The menace of the unknown gunmen has made it slightly impossible to defend the above statement made by Ahmed Bello as there has been an avalanche of attacks on the Nigerian government and its citizens.
Nigeria has been the most populated country in Africa has from time immemorial encountered severe insecurity insurgencies which can be traced back to the Boko Haram insurgencies, the Fulani herdsmen menace, and of course the kidnapping squads who specialize in human parts trafficking and rituals.
Crises have of the recent time taken over the country as insecurity insurgencies have for more than countless times tripled. People been massively killed and government properties vandalized. It is now a regular happening in a country where peace and unity should be its foundation and stronghold. Nigeria has lost its guanine strength which has over the years been the reason for the sustenance of peace and unity.
The hazard experiences people encounter on a daily have aimed another round division among the citizens of the nation Nigeria as most speculations from the indigenous people of Igbo has the impression that the northerners have risen against them as the agitations for Biafra land has not stopped brewing. Now the questions remain; Who are these unknown Gunmen?
Who are they working for? Why do they make the Southeastern part their major targets? Why they operate only in the southeastern part of the whole federation is a question that would birth in the next piece of this matter.
