Igwe Nnewi Appeals For The Construction Of Cemetery, Hall, And Stadium In Nnewi

The Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. Kenneth Orizu (III), has appealed to the state government and sons and daughters of Nnewi, for the construction of a cemetery, hall, and stadium.

Igwe Dr. Kenneth Orizu (III) who made this appeal through the President-General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Chief Maduka Atuenyi said that he is disturbed that with the level of development in Nnewi, the town is still lacking a cemetery, hall and stadium.

Speaking to Anaedoonline.ng, Chief Maduka Atuenyi confirmed to our correspondent that he received a call from Igwe who pleaded with him on the need for Nnewi to have a cemetery, town hall and stadium.

Chief Maduka said that he is worried on why Igwe Nnewi keeps hammering for him to start up any of the projects.

According to him, his executive have decided to start with the cemetery, noting that they are currently in search of about fifteen (15) plots of land and above for the building of the cemetery.

He said that although they have no funds to start any of the projects, he believes that sons and daughters of Nnewi both home and abroad will come to the rescue.
