Yoruba Nation Rally: Protest Will Hold In Lagos – Co-organisers Dare Lagos Govt

Co-organisers of the Yoruba Nation rally, Ilana Omo Oodua, has threatened to march out on Saturday, July 3 in Lagos with or without Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

Anaedoonline.ng had earlier reported that the Yoruba Nation agitator cancelled the rally after operatives of the Department of State Security invaded his house in the Soka area, Ibadan on Thursday.

However, Igboho partners have insisted on marching out in their number, vowing that no amount of intimidation will make them halt the rally.

A source in Ilana Omo Oodua, while reacting to the warning by the police that no form of the demonstration will be allowed in Lagos, said the rally will go on as planned.

Recall that the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Hakeem Odumosu, had warned that any caught participating will be dealt with within the ambits of the law.

The source that spoke with Daily Post said, “What did you expect the Police to say? They are obeying the federal government. The Police told us not to hold the rally in Ogun and others but we did.”

“It’s not compulsory that Sunday Igboho attends. I am telling you now that the Yoruba Nation rally will hold.”

“The Ilana Omo Oodua under the leadership of Professor Akintoye already made it clear that we will come out.”
