The family of the rearrested leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has berated the British government over their continued silence. Recall that IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu was reportedly rearrested in Kenya and extradited back to Nigeria last Sunday.

The Senior Pastor of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has said the failure of the past and present leaders led to the calls for self-determination in Nigeria. In an interview with BBC Yoruba on Saturday, Bakare noted that the calls for secession became louder during the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Nigerian singer, Tekno has announced that he relocated from Nigeria and is currently based in the United States. Staying why he left Nigeria, Tekno revealed that country’s name was “changed” to UAR and that he will only relocate back if the country’s name is changed back to Nigeria.

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has disclosed the federal government’s intention to create an armed unit of the Federal Fire Service. This unit will be called the “Fire Police,” and their duty would be to provide armed outer cordon during operations.

Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri has debunked claims that he is planning to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Governor in a statement on Sunday through his Director-General, New Media, Mr. Kola Oredipe said Diri is fully committed to the PDP.
