The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) paid a glowing tribute to Sound Sultan by dedicating the win recorded by D’Tigers, after they thrashed Argentina on Monday, July 12, 2021.
The D’Tigers in preparation for the forthcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics won 94-71 over fourth-ranked Argentina in an exhibition in Las Vegas.
This victory is coming hours after they shocked the basketball world with a 90-87 win over Team USA who are known to have the best NBA players.
Shortly after the win, NBBF took to social media to dedicate Nigeria’s big wins against the USA and Argentina to the late veteran musician, Sound Sultan who passionate about basketball during his lifetime.

“We dedicate the victories against US & Argentina to late Olanrewaju Fasasi (@Soundsultan). You saw this day coming when Nigeria would become a dominant force in global basketball. Ironically, the day we won against @usabasketball, was when you gave up the ghost. RIP,” NBBF wrote.
