Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has explained why his team lost 2-1 to Hibernian in a pre-season friendly tie on Tuesday evening.

According to Arteta, Arsenal lost to Hibernian at Easter Road because they failed to score after creating many chances against the Scotland club.

The Gunners boss also said that his players were a little bit leggy against Hibernian.

Anaedoonline.ng reports that goals from Martin Boyle and Daniel MacKay ensured Hibernian defeated Arsenal.

Emile Smith Rowe did score a goal for the Emirates club.

“Well, I’m always disappointed when we lose a football match, but it is the first game, we played with many kids and we only had four training sessions,” Arteta said at his post-match press conference.

“We’ve trained really hard and you could see that the players were a little bit leggy. I think we conceded the first goal, an accident, and the second goal was clearly offside. We created many, many chances, but we didn’t score.
