See How Dog Stopped Robbers from Stealing In Abia

Some suspected robbers were involved in an accident in Abia State today, 21st July 2021.

 

According to ABN TV, the robbers were hospitalized following the incident.

 

This gang of robbers had attempted to rob a man, named undisclosed, of his huge sum of money kept in his parked car.

The would have been victim reported that he had parked his car off BCA Road, Umuahia, for a brief rest, while having his dog watch over an undisclosed amount of money inside the vehicle. One of the robbers who disguised himself inside the crowd was hit with a surprise. 

 

After destroying the side window of the vehicle, he reached out his hand for the money. Unfortunately, the dog gave him a merciless bite on his hand.

His gang members who were watching from a distance took to their heels. The disturbance attracted the attention of the people around, including the owner of the vehicle, who rushed to the scene.

While three of these Abia robbers ran by foot, three jumped into a Keke NAPEP with registration number Ebonyi AKL-832-UM which had brought them to the scene.

 

In their mad haste to escape the Keke was involved in an accident along BCA Road.

An eyewitness told ABN TV that the other suspected gang members who fled on their heels upon getting wind of what happened returned to the scene. They pleaded with road users to help take their wounded gang members to the hospital.

They were taken to the hospital. Their Keke which was damaged beyond repair was left behind.

 

As at the time of this report, officers of the Nigeria Police Force were said to have arrived at the scene and had begun tracing the ownership of the Keke NAPEP.
