Kusamotu Olabomi, the father of Saheed, a motorcyclist that was shot by a riot policeman in Osogbo on Tuesday, has demanded the arrest of the cop responsible for the crime.

Olabomi, who spoke on Wednesday, said his son was still on life support at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, where he was rushed after the incident.

Olabomi asked the state government to foot the medical bill of the victim, saying, “My demand from the government is that they should take care of my son. He must not die. He is still in coma, his condition is very serious.

“We held a meeting with the Commissioner of Police and the representative of the governor today. They promised that the government would pay the hospital bill of my son.

“We demand the arrest of the policeman who fired the shot. His wife has been inconsolable since the incident happened.”
