Porto star Mehdi Taremi’s spectacular strike against Chelsea in the Champions League was voted as UEFA’s Goal of the Season for 2020/21.
The voting for the best goal of the 2020/21 season took place on Thursday via UEFA’s website in the various competitions organized by the governing body of European football.
Taremi got nearly 30% of the votes to win UEFA’s Goal of the Season for his stunning overhead kick against Chelsea in the quarter-final second leg tie.
He defeated the likes of Lorenzo Insigne and Kemar Roofe to win the award.
