Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC have arrested 30-year-old Kawu Musa over alleged possession of 35kg of substance suspected to be Marijuana.
State Commandant, Jigawa State Mustapha Talba (CC) disclosed this while parading the Suspect at the command’s headquarters in Dutse.
He said the suspect was arrested Friday evening along Kiyawa Road, near NNPC Mega Station Dutse following a tip-off.
Talba said the Suspect was arrested while conveying packages of psychotropic substances disguised as ice cream to Hadejia Local Government to be sold during Sallah festivities.
He said 33 assorted blocks of packaged Marijuana, N12,300 cash, a Qlink Motorcycle and a Tecno Android phone was recovered from the Suspect.
The suspect, however, confessed to having purchased the illicit substance from one Alhaji Garba, now at large.
Talba said the command will hand over the suspect along with the exhibits to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and possible prosecution.

State Commandant, Mustapha Talba (CC), however, called on the general public to assist security agencies in the fight against crime and criminality in the state by giving timely information that will help in eliminating criminal activities in the State.
