Nnewi Catholic Diocese has lost one of her Priests, Very. Rev. Fr. Dr. RichardMary Umeike, who died after a brief illness.
Very Rev. Fr. Umeike who recently finished his Ph.D. and was preparing for his 25th Priestly Ordination Anniversary, died during the weekend.
Anaedoonline.ng learned that, although he spent a greater part of his priesthood in Onitsha Archdiocese, especially in St. Dominic Fegge and St. John De Baptist Church Odoakpu Onitsha, he died while serving at St. James Catholic Church Otolo Nnewi.
Very. Fr. RichardMary who had fatal accident years back, which made him undergo plastic surgery on his face, is one of the most experienced Catholic Priest in Nnewi Diocese and was one of the few priests touted to emerge as the next Bishop of Nnewi Catholic Diocese.
