JUST IN: Armed Robbers Attack Bullion Van In Ondo

Hoodlums suspected to be armed robbers have attacked a bullion van belonging to a commercial bank in Ondo State.

Our correspondent gathered that the bullion van was attacked by the armed hoodlums at Emure Junction on the Akure-Owo Highway.

The details of the attack were sketchy as at the time of filing this report.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, Tee-Leo Ikoro, could not be reached for comment on the incident but a similar attack had occured on July 29 in Ondo town.

About two weeks earlier, some armed robbers had attacked a bank at Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore Local Government Area of the state, where three lives were lost including that of a popular journalist, Bunmi Afuye.
