The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has described as untrue the allegation by Governor Samuel Ortom and Commodore Kunle Olawunmi (rtd), suggesting that the Federal Government has perfected its plans to ‘fulanise’ and Islamise the country.

The Secretary of the group, Mr Cassidy Madueke, in a press release he signed and made available to journalists in Abuja, Tuesday, dismissed the claims by the governor, describing it as incorrect.

According to the Buhari Media Organisation, there is no fulanisation and islamisation agenda in the country, as being insinuated by Governor Ortom and the retired Commodore Olawunmi.

It maintained that it was practically impossible to implement any such notorious agenda in Nigeria because of its multiple ethnic groups and two major religions which are divided almost equally across the country’s population.

The group lamented that it was embarrassing to note that people who should appreciate the structure and character of Nigeria’s heterogenous society were those in the forefront of spreading such allegations.

The statement reads in part: “The allegations are tools being employed by those who seek to divide Nigerians along ethnic and religious lines.

“Those making these incredible claims have neither evidence nor facts to back their words and should shut up, there is in fact, no such agenda in place,’’ he said.

According to BMO, the whole ‘Fulanisation’ agenda was a figment of the imaginations of its creators.

“The concept of these agendas sit well with those who are hell-bent on pitching Nigerians against each other and breeding tension among the people,’’ he said.

The group urged Nigerians to consciously resist and reject these elements of division and their messages while continuing to live peacefully with one another.
