Unknown Gunmen Attack Students Writing JSSCE Exam In Imo

The Comprehensive Secondary School, Nkume in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State has been invaded by gunmen believed to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the school premises to stop students from writing their examinations.

The gunmen invaded the school while students were preparing for the English Language paper of the Junior Secondary School Examination.

The incident saw teachers and students run to safety as the gunmen shot sporadically into the air to disperse them.

The gunmen after chasing the students set ablaze some motorcycles belonging to some of the staff and students.

Although there were no report of casualties, a viral video of the incident showed the students and staff shouting and running for their lives.

However, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has given reasons why it declared another sit-at-home for September 14, 2021.

Anaedoonline.ng recalls that the pro-Biafra group had declared a new sit-at-home to remember those allegedly killed in Afaraukwu, Abia State in 2017 by Nigerian soldiers who were searching for the group’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
