With Big Brother Naija being in the full swing of its Sixth Episode, the name Patricia has become a well-known one. It has always been there and making waves. Big Brother brought it to a wider audience and today, we would meet the name behind the brand, Hanu Fejiro Agbodje.
Patricia is one of the leading e-commerce businesses in Africa that deals with providing financial services to customers both individuals and companies through the sale and exchange of cryptocurrencies and gift cards. It is a multi-billion cryptocurrency trading company that has traded in cryptocurrencies worth more than 10 billion Naira.
You might be wondering why he went for the name Patricia, well, according to him, Patricia reminds him of his most favorite people which are his mom and grandfather.

Hanu Fejiro Agbodje was born on the 16th day of November 1995 and he hails from Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, however, he grew up in three major cities like Warri, Lagos, and Port Harcourt.
He had his primary school education at a primary school named Prime International School, Delta State between 1999 and 2005, and then also had his secondary school education at Royal Heritage School, Warri, Delta State.
Fejiro obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The Patricia trading platform is owned by a young Nigerian entrepreneur, Hanu Fejiro Agbodje, who has taken over the market of cryptocurrency trading in Africa.

After his graduation from the university, unlike many who would start looking for white-collar jobs, Fejiro started up with minor businesses such as popcorn business, mini restaurants and then the sale of recharge card vouchers.
As time went on, Fejiro launched Patricia in the year 2017. This idea was conceived after he was scammed of iTunes gift card that was given to him by his uncle. Initially, he intended to make Patricia his side hustle and as revenue of augmenting whatever he earns from his work.
Fortunately and rather surprisingly, Patricia grew rapidly that before the end of the year 2019, it has transacted on about 10 billion Naira through their platform.
But was it a rosy start for the young billionaire?
Not exactly. Speaking on the struggles he faced during the launch of the platform, Hanu Fejiro stated, “All our work then was manual, we were using WhatsApp and converting and paying and all that manually. Later on, we moved to Instagram which proved to be a very wrong step.
“We got frustrated because we couldn’t even scale these problems. We had tried building a website but we couldn’t find a company that could understand it because it was a new technology and so they kept failing.”
However, with all these hurdles, Hanu Fejiro was able to scale through.
Hanu Fejiro Agbodje’s private life, and net worth
Being the Chief Executive Officer of a company that is worth billions of Naira and deals on cryptocurrency and gift card exchange, it’s expected that he will also be worth millions and that is actually the fact.
According to estimation, Hanu Fejiro Agbodje is worth around 30 million US dollars which is around 12 billion Naira.
It will be the dream of any Nigerian girl who is willing to be in any sort of relationship to want to be with the kinds of Hanu Fejiro Agbodje who has successfully made a name for himself and his brand but as it stands Hanu Fejiro Agbodje is currently single according to several media outlets.
This, however, might not truly reflect his relationship status because some people really do not want their relationship to be plied on by the public’s eye.
Awards and recognition
Due to his hard work and quest to keep achieving more, Hanu Fejiro Agbodje has been recognized for his input into the world of Cryptocurrency trading and also for being an example to every young man who has dreams of making it through the labor market.
When asked how he has kept moving and staying at the top given his little time in the business in an interview with Peace Itimi of FoundersConnect, he replied, “The plan might change many times more than I can count. But my goal is my goal, it does not change.”
Some of the awards and recognition that he has received include the CEO of the year award, Technology Company of the year, which was awarded to his company, Patricia.
His thirst for more exploits and innovations will certainly lead him to get more awards and nominations (not that these are indices of a great achiever).
Hanu Fejiro Agbodje is 6 feet and few inches tall. This is a really tall height but even this height has not told the whole story of the rise of a tech illuminary.
