The Eastern Security Network (ESN) will continue to protect the people of the South East and persons living in the region against criminals.

Kanunta Kanu, the younger brother of the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, made this known in a tweet via his Twitter page on Wednesday.

Kanu stated that the ESN will continue to wade off the bandits and killer herdsmen from the forests and communities in the South East.

Kanu said that the North-West governors have agreed to recruit 3,000 special vigilantes to assist in combating banditry and kidnapping but nothing is being done in the South East.

He condemned the Nigerian Government for labelling IPOB and ESN as a terrorist group, adding that the “Fulanisation agenda” will not work.

“#IPOB is always right. They don’t want our vigilante group #ESN in #Biafraland, but they’re recruiting more than 3000 vigilantes in the North for what?

“We don’t need anybody to defend our people #ESN will do that and #Biafraland will not be like Agwatyap people of Kaduna State,” Kanu wrote.
