The special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina has suggested that Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe should be in prison.

According to the presidential media aide, Abaribe who is the Senate Minority Leader is guilty of supporting and associating with Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Adesina made the claim on Thursday night via an article titled ‘weighty matters about our country‘ which he released on his Facebook page.

Mr. Adesina accused the lawmaker of inciting violence through his words and action, thereby further fanning the flame of insecurity in Nigeria.

Abaribe was further accused of constantly using foul language against the leaders of the country and standing surety for Nnamdi Kanu before the court.

For these and other ‘sins’, Adesina said Abaribe “should have been cooling his feet in the prison.”

He wrote: “Some people incite violence through words or actions, thus exacerbating the security challenges we have. You wonder where they are from, and why they would further stoke a burning fire with incendiary materials.
