If you are in the market for smartphones priced under 50K naira, we are, as they say, your plug.

Here is a list of the best five smartphones you can use to play 3D games like PUBG, COD, and PES, code, design graphics, and call Arizona via Zoom. We are doing this because we love and would hate to receive a message from a loan app saying uncharitable things about you.

Note that for better coverage, the list contains only phones under 50K but not less than 40K.

Itel P37 is a new device as it was released in May 2021. It comes with an Android 10 (Go Edition) operating system, 6.5 HD+ waterdrops Fullscreen and 720 x 1600 pixel resolution. Mounted at the back is a fingerprint sensor and 8mp came complemented with an 8mp selfie camera.

Xiaomi Redmi 3s (48k)

The Redmi series is designed to deliver high quality at a low cost. The Redmi 3s was released in June 2016 with MIUI 8 on Android 6.0 ( marshmallow) OS. It has a 5.0 inches display screen of 720 x 1280 resolution, 16 GB ROM and 2GB RAM. Powered by a big battery of 4100mAh capacity.

The device has a snapdragon 430 chipset of 1.4GHz speed. The rear camera is 13mp and 5 pm selfie camera. It supports 4G LTE and has a rear fingerprint sensor. The Xiaomi Redmi 3s is worth N48,000.

Infinix Smart 5 (X657) (47k – 50k)

Released August 2020, Smart 5 is a 6.6inches display and 720 x 1600 resolution device with an Android 10 operating system. It has a balanced camera of 8mp on both sides, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage space. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with a Quad-core 1.8 GHz processor on a Mediatek chipset.

Tecno Pop 4 (44K to 47K naira)

The most successful of all Pop series irrespective of its cons and setbacks. The device was released in May 2020 with a 6.0 inches display and 480 x 960 resolution. It comes with the usual HiOS on the Android 10 operating system, 2GB RAM and 32GB local storage.

The rear camera is a 5mp dual-LED flash and a selfie camera of 8mp LED flash powered by a 5000mAh battery. It has a Quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and a rear fingerprint sensor.

Aside from its poor camera and slow charging speed, the Tecno Pop 4 is preferred to its predecessor, Pop 5. The device is worth between N44,000 and N47,000.

Vivo Y91i (45K naira)

Y91i is one of many devices introduced by Vivo to Nigeria in 2018 to test the market. It is on this list not just for sentimental reasons.

The display screen is 6.2 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It is a 2GB RAM device with a 16GB storage space. Its rear camera IS 13mp with flash and 8mp for selfie camera with screen light.

It comes with the Snapdragon chipset and a 2.0GHz octa-core processor. It has a battery capacity of 4030mAh and supports 4G LTE.

The Vivo Y91i is a complete device but often gets criticized for its camera lack of fingerprint sensor. The device is sold at N45,000.
