Anambra: Andy Uba Cancels LGA Tour In Honour of Slain Residents In Aguata

The All Progressive Congress Candidate, Senator Andy Uba have canceled his planned local government tour scheduled to hold today over the sad incident that took place in some communities in Aguata LGA yesterday.

Recall that Anaedoonline.ng repoprted unknown gunmen attacked some communities in Aguata and killed some innocent persons.

The APC candidate appealed to the state government to improve the security conditions of the state.

The Senator Andy Uba Governorship Campaign Organisation, SAUGCO, after careful evaluation of the prevailing security situation, most especially the unfortunate incidents that occurred at Ekwulobia, Umuchu, Ezinifite and other parts of Aguata LGA yesterday, Friday, October 29, 2021 do hereby cancel its Aguata campaign scheduled to hold today, October, 30, 2021 at the Ekwulobia Township Stadium.

It is our belief that the lives lost yesterday in Aguata LGA matter, hence we have suspended our campaign to share in the grief of the families that lost their loved ones. We condole with the affected families and pray that they find the fortitude to bear the painful loss of their loved ones.

On the same note, we condole with the Nanka community which lost it’s President-General, Chief Paul Chinedu. May his soul find comfort with his creator.

We further appeal to the Anambra State Government to continue to work assiduously to improve the security situation and protect the lives of everyone in the state.

A future date for the Aguata tour would be communicated to our teeming supporters, as we sincerely apologise for the inconveniences which this unforeseen occurrences have caused everyone.
