Ekwutosi Uzochika Ufodike nee Egemonye has joined thousands of Igbo women who are are making exploits abroad.

Tosi Ufodike who recently contested and won as representative of her local county will be the first Uruagu Nnewi Indigene to be an elected official in the United State of America.

Anaedoonline.ng gathered that Tosi who won and is currently serving over 50,000 residents of ELA Township with 28 Precincts and 7 Municipalities as a Trustee is also reportedly the first female Nnewi indigene to be elected as an official in USA.

Born in 1975, Tosi Ufodike who hails from Egemonye family in Akaboukwu Uruagu Nnewi lives in Hawthorn Woods with her husband Chidebelu, two girls, and dog Lucky.

She owns Kiddie Academy of Hawthorn Woods with her husband. Both are members of the Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce. Prior to that, Tosi worked for General Electric (GE) as an auditor, traveling the world focused on financial and process improvements. She is a graduate of the prestigious GE Financial Management Program. She is a Certified Quality Black Belt. She is Certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).

Tosi earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Lander University and her Masters in Business Administration from Clemson University.

Committed to community service, Tosi was appointed to the Hawthorn Woods Bloom Committee by the Mayor of Hawthorn Woods. She is an ambassador for Hawthorn Woods. She is an active volunteer in Lake Zurich District 95 Schools.
