70 Abducted Persons In Kaduna Released – Hayab Confirms

The chairman, Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. John Joseph Hayab has confirmed the freedom of at least seventy abducted persons in the state.

The clergyman told newsmen in a statement on Friday that the freed kidnap victims include members of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kakau Daji, who have whisked away on Sunday, 31st October 2021.

However, Anaedoonline understands from the statement issued by Hayab that ransom was paid for the release of the victims.

While commending the efforts of traditional rulers and stakeholders in ensuring the release of the victims, Hayab challenged Christians and Nigerians to be prayerful against the insecurity that has brought untold unrest and hardship to the people.

Anaedoonline.ng understands that gunmen had abducted sixty-six worshippers of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kakau Daji during a Church service on Sunday, 31st October 2021.

Subsequently, the assailants shot five of the victims, killing three and injuring two.

In Hayab’s confirmation, he noted that another nine persons abducted were also released together with the 61 worshippers on Friday evening.

Meanwhile, residents of Unguwan Gimbiya village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have suffered a major attack at the hands of bandit terrorists.

Anaedoonline.ng reports that the bandits, who have been tagged as terrorists, stormed the village in Sabo, the outskirts of the state on bikes in the early hours of Friday.

During the invasion, the criminals killed two residents and kidnapped over fifty others.

According to a resident of the area, the terrorists invaded thirteen homes and robbed them of their valuable belongings.

He, however, revealed that the attack lasted for about 2 hours with heavy gunshots renting the air.
