Former Governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau has visited the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Anaedoonline.ng reports that the Senator representing Kano Central in the National Assembly visited the former Lagos governor in his Ikoyi residence in Lagos on Sunday, December 5.
As of the time of filing this report, the details of the meeting have not been stated.
Kwankwaso Speaks On Working With Shekarau, Calls Ganduje An Ingrate
However, political watchers said the meeting might be connected to Tinubu’s presidential ambition in 2023 and the crisis rocking APC in Kano.
Recall that the congresses of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje‘s faction of the APC in Kano State had been nullified by an Abuja High Court.
The presiding judge, Justice Hamza Muazu, in his ruling last week Tuesday upheld the congresses conducted by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau-led faction of the party.
He also restrained Ganduje’s faction from appointing a new executive.

Governor Ganduje’s faction had elected Abdullahi Abbas as its chairman, while Shekarau’s faction elected Haruna Ahmadu Danzago in the parallel congress which held on October 16.
