Igbo Philanthropist Again Doles Out Millions For Community Church Projects

Popular Igbo Billionaire Philanthropist and Chairman of Kotec Group of Companies, Chief Chika Emenike on Sunday, December 26th, 2021 gave the sum of Ten Million Naira to St Paul’s Anglican Church, Uruala, and St Silas Anglican Church Uruala to support their Church building project.

Chief Emenike is a staunch Catholic. He had on November 27th, 2021 donated and dedicated a church, St Micheal Catholic Church which he singlehandedly built in his hometown, Urualla to the Catholic Diocese.

Making the donations yesterday to St Paul’s Anglican Church Uruala, He was represented by Ven. Ben Chima Nwigwe and that of St Silas Anglican Church Uruala, He was represented by Rev. Elisha Ezemonye. The philanthropist, Chief Chika Emenike said he was led by his spirit as he woke up from bed in the morning to do a donation to the Anglican Churches in his community. “When I woke up this morning, I felt a strong urge to invite the two priests of the Anglican Church in my community and give them money to support their church building project. I have for some years observed that St Pauls’s church project has remained uncompleted and I promised myself that after building the one I was involved then, that I will support them to finish up their church.

“Today when I woke up from sleep, I felt the need to fulfill my promise. I made inquiries and invited the priest of St Paul and equally that of St Silas to come to my house after their church service and now they are here.

“To St Paul Anglican Church, I’ll be supporting the completion of your Church building project with the sum of N7 Million and will also support St Silas to put up something befitting with the sum of N3 Millon”.

In his show of appreciation, Ven. Ben Chima Nwigwe of St Paul’s Anglican Church, Uruala expressed surprise that a Catholic person will support the building project of an Anglican Church. He said he never knew Chief Emenike from Adam, talkless of expecting any form of support from him. He prayed for God’s continuous blessing upon his business and his household. Also, Rev. Elisha Ezemonye of St Silas Anglican Church Uruala was filled with excitement and expressed his level of surprise when he learned the main reason he was invited by Chief Emenike, the Priest prayed for an abundant blessing upon his life and family.

Chief Emenike had earlier stated that “whenever he is involved in doing the work of God, God blesses all aspects of my life, and as a result of the blessings of God upon my life, there is nothing that I will use to thank God that is enough. Money cannot buy God’s blessings. God owns me and everything I have belongs to God”.

Chief Chika Emenike is the Chairman/CEO of Kotec Group of Companies. Kotec Group of companies is the parent company of Tummy Tummy Foods Ltd, producers of Tummy Tummy Noodles, Event Table Water; Kotec Bricks, and many other subsidiary companies. Also, he is the CEO of Rento Hotel Owerri. He is a recipient of the Prestigious Title of Ojichukwu Nnewi bestowed on him by the Igwe of Nnewi, Igwe Keneth Orizu.
