Dowen College Accuse Sylvester Oromoni’s Family Of ‘Ambush’

Following the presentation of video evidence before an Ikeja Coroner’s Court, Dowen College has accused Sylvester Oromoni’s family of ambush.

According to sources, Dowen College’s attorney, Mr Anthony Kpokpo, made the claim during Oromoni’s father’s testimony after several papers, films, and audio recordings were shown as evidence.

According to Kpokpo, the papers, films, and audio were kept from the other parties in the lawsuit to generate shock.

Documents, pictures, audio recordings, movies, and the deceased’s battered suitcase are among the evidence.

“The recordings we just seen and the edited audio we listened to had always been in the possession of the deceased’s family and were only brought out now for shock effect.”

“Given the circumstances, we feel compelled to go over all of the documents presented to us.”

“I pray that my erudite friend extends the same respect to us as we did to them,” he continued, “so that we may be well prepared to cross-examine the witness and go forward.”

Mr Akin George, Counsel to the Lagos State Government, characterized the occurrence as “ambush.”

“It wouldn’t be out of place to claim the opposing counsel behaved in the manner of an ambush,” he added.

Other participants to the hearings, according to Mr Godwin Omoaka (SAN), counsel for one of the accused Dowen College pupils, were caught off guard.

“All along, my knowledgeable buddy (Efole) should have made the records available to us.”

“It is only proper that we see and watch those tapes; otherwise, it will have an influence on our right to a fair hearing,” he stated.

Mr. Mikhail Kadiri, the Coroner, has postponed Oromoni Snrtestimony .’s until February 14th.
