On Tuesday morning, unknown gunmen allegedly raided Ekwulobia town in Anambra State’s Aguata Local Government Area.
According to an eyewitness, it is still unclear if the individuals are armed robbers, cults, or bandits operating under the pretense of mystery gunmen, as they have become known.

According to the source, an unnamed male officer of the Anambra Traffic Management Agency (ATMA) was gunned down from behind while regulating traffic at the always-bustling Ekwulobia intersection.
DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the state police command’s spokeswoman, could not be reached for comment right away.
