Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, a former governor of Anambra State, stated on Wednesday that Nigeria and her people were too gifted by God to be fragmented.
He said this while receiving a condolence visit from Adewale Adebayo, a presidential hopeful, at his Abuja residence following the loss of his wife, Njideka.
Despite the country’s insecurity and other issues, he believes Nigerians will overcome them.

The ex-governor urged Nigerians, particularly the young, to unite and battle their shared adversaries, predicting that a new Nigeria will emerge following the 2019 general elections.
“We have a gem of a country, God gave us more than any other country, no country has what we have,” he stated, adding that “the men and some of the women in Nigerian politics screwed up God’s blueprint for unequal grandeur, for a superpower among countries.”
“Man screwed up the plan, but can man’s will take precedence over God’s?”

“I’m really satisfied with you, the younger ones. The issue is that our political leaders lack moral compass. Nigerian politicians have no conscience, and this is the problem. We must appeal to God to bring conscience back to Nigeria.

“If we have conscience, we can restore Nigeria, we can remain a powerhouse, and we can ensure that all Africans and black people are recognized and treated with dignity, because our failure is the failure of all black people.”

Ezeife, according to Adebayo, is a country stabilizer.
“You are a national leader who reminds us of what the country should be, as well as what we should be,” he remarked.
