Asari Dokubo Alleges Obasanjo, Southwest Leaders Backing Nnamdi Kanu

Asari Dokubo, a former militant commander, has accused former President Olusegun Obasanjo of aiding Nnamdi Kanu, the beleaguered leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

On Wednesday, February 9, Dokubo said that Obasanjo is pushing IPOB to kill people in the country’s southeastern area in a Facebook live video.

Southwest leaders, according to the ex-leader, couldn’t utilize Sunday Igboho to start a ‘war’ in the area, but they are behind Kanu to destroy Southeast.

Dokubo said it was all a hoax when an alleged member of IPOB claimed that several of his supporters were slain by unknown gunmen in Imo state.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, an IPOB member claimed last week that Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma hired Dokubo to fight IPOB and its armed branch, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

Dokubo allegedly trained a large number of lads, paid them N150, 000 monthly allowances, and dispatched 79 of them to fight IPOB/ESN in the bush, according to the source.

Unknown shooters, he claims, shot and murdered several of Dokubo’s foot soldiers, forcing the former terrorist to flee to the Benin Republic.

Dokubo, on the other hand, said he murdered IPOB and ESN militants during a social media broadcast on Wednesday evening.

“It’s a lie,” he said. There was not a single one of my boys who died. I gave your people (IPOB) to Satan (to be slaughtered), their lord,” Dokubo explained.

“Your people are aware. They all know how they sprint past their homes and through their woodland. As a result, they danced and went to assault the Nigerian Army in Ihiala (in Anambra state),” the former militant continued.

If Dokubo comes across any more IPOB members or supporters, he has threatened to murder them.
