The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has issued an arrest warrant for suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari.
On Monday, NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi proclaimed Kyari sought for suspected ties to a drug gang that operates the illicit narcotics route between Brazil and Ethiopia and Nigeria.
Recall that Kyari was banned due to his suspected participation with Ramon Abass, also known as Hushpuppi, an international fraudster.

However, the previous head of the Intelligence Response Team, or IRT, denied any connection to Hushpuppi’s fraudulent actions.
The NDLEA has evidence tying Kyari as the main player in an ongoing narcotics case, according to Babafemi.
This has sparked outrage on social media, with several Nigerians expressing disbelief at the heinous acts done by a Nigerian police officer.
However, some Nigerians are of the opinion that this latest development might be a way to stop his extradition to the United States.
