Senator Shehu Sani, a former legislator who represented Kaduna Central in the National Assembly’s upper house, has reacted to the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ (ASUU) new strike action.

As previously reported by Naija News, ASUU declared a one-month nationwide strike following the union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Lagos, which was dubbed ‘NEC for NEC.’

On Monday, February 14th, 2022, the academic union announced its decision in a press conference held by ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke.

Reacting to the development, Sani took to his Twitter page where he observed that most Nigerian students don’t know NANS which is the National Association of Nigerian Students but they know ASUU.

He wrote: “Most students don’t know NANS but they know ASUU.”
