Unknown gunmen have sparked unrest in Abia State’s Ukwa West local government area.
According to reports received by Anaedoonline.ng on Wednesday morning, numerous people are believed to have died as attackers invaded the Abia livestock market in Omumauzor.
On Tuesday night, they allegedly entered the freshly erected market and slaughtered many people.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Abia market incident comes only 48 hours after three police officers were slain in front of a police station along the Enugu-Abakaliki route in Ebonyi State by unknown gunmen.
The police officers were slain by the gunmen during an attack on a roadblock set up in front of the station on Monday, according to reports.
According to accounts, police officers halted a hummer bus carrying the militants and then opened fire on them.
