The suspects were apprehended and displayed by the Ebonyi State Command of the Ebubeagu Security outfit at the old government house in Abakaliki, where the temporary office is housed.

Emegha, who is also the State Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ebonyi State, expressed displeasure with the high rate of illicit hard drug consumption and urged members of the public to provide useful information to the security agency that would lead to the arrest of the syndicate’s remaining members.

He blamed the high percentage of hard and illegal drug usage by hoodlums for the state’s criminal activities.

“I have always stressed that security is everyone’s business,” he says. We got suggestions about the Mkpurummiri, a group that specialized in these heavy substances, yesterday.”

The state security consultant noted further that apart from the hard drugs and other substances, live ammunition and other dangerous weapons were also recovered from them.
