Nzuko-Ora Nnewi Set To Recover Agbo-Edo From Land Grabbers

The town union body of Nnewi, Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, has started the process of recovering the ancestral of the land of Nnewi, Agbo-Edo, from land grabbers.

The recovery is following the directive from the Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu (III), Obi Uruagu Nnewi, Obi Afam Obi (Ogidi IV), Obi Umudim Nnewi, Obi Benneth Okafor (Amaukwu), and Obi George Onyekaba (Obi Nnewichi) to the leadership of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, led by, Chief Maduka Atuenyi.

Anaedoonline.ng learnt that Nzuko-Ora Nnewi is targeting over 1000 plots of land which belongs to Nnewi Community but was illegally sold and acquired by some land speculators.

According to Information made available to our correspondent, some self-styled stakeholders in Nnewi illegally sold the land and pocketed the proceeds, while others encroached the land without due process.

Chief Maduka Atuenyi who is in possession of the original survey plan of Agbo-Edo land is said to have vowed not leave any stone unturned in his bid to recover the entire land from the land grabbers.

It will be recalled that Nzuko-Ora Nnewi President-General, Chief Maduka Atuenyi, last year, has served all the occupants of the land an order, requesting them to vacant the land.
