Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, has formed a new political outfit called The National Movement (TNM), which will be officially inaugurated today.

The political movement will be launched at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Abuja’s Ladi Kwali Hall.

Rufia Ahmed Alkali, a former spokeswoman for the Peoples Democratic Party and now the movement’s National Secretary, revealed the development.

“During the launch, the TNM will be formally presented to the general public, and the convener of the movement will outline its aims and objectives, as well as inviting all patriotic Nigerians at home and abroad to join the TNM in the overall interest of saving our country and redirecting her onto the path of safety and security, peace and prosperity, equity and opportunity, as well as qualitative and competent leadership that will entail,” he said.

Although some prominent Nigerians and politicians have not announced their membership of the movement, there are speculations that the likes of Pat Utomi and the immediate past Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega are in line with the development.

This is coming a few days after Kwankwaso stated that the PDP and APC do not have anything to offer Nigerians.
