Russia And Ukraine War: 50 Nigerians Escape To Hungary (Video)

In the midst of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, over fifty Nigerians are said to have fled to Hungary.

This was revealed in a viral video that went popular on the internet.

In the video, a woman narrates the process of leaving Ukraine and the hurdles faced before they successfully arrived in Hungary.

Recall that Nigerians had claimed that they are being denied passage to Poland.

According to a source at the border, he and six other Nigerian students were sent back while other countries were let in.

Nigeria’s Foreign Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, claimed the government is getting emergency calls from Nigerians fleeing Ukraine for Poland at a meeting with envoys from European Union countries.

He stated that the government is aware that Polish authorities are refusing Nigerians entry.

“And we have had a number of calls, desperate calls and that there are cases of women and pregnant women and so forth,” Onyeama said.

While stating that other nationals of other African countries were being allowed into Poland, Onyeama said he has raised the issue with Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Joanna Tarnawska.

However, Tarnawska had denied claims of  Nigerians not having access to Poland, explaining that everyone was treated fairly.
