Prisoners with military expertise who are eager to fight the Russians will be released, according to Ukraine’s President, Volodymr Zelensky.
This was declared by Zelensky during a speech in Kyiv, the country’s capital, while a Ukrainian delegation and Russian delegates met near the Belarusian border for peace negotiations.
“Save your life and depart,” Putin said, urging Russian forces in Ukraine to lay down their guns.

“Drop all you’ve got. Please get out of here. Don’t take your officers’ word for it. Don’t trust what your propagandists are telling you. All you have to do now is preserve your life,” Zelensky said.
According to the President, the Russia invasion has resulted in the deaths of 4,500 Russian troops and 16 children.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has asked the European Union to grant his country immediate membership.
“We appeal to the European Union for the immediate accession of Ukraine via a new special procedure,” he said.

He noted that the goal is to be together with all Europeans and be on an equal footing.
“I’m sure it is fair. I’m sure it’s possible,” Zelensky said.
