According to the federal government, several Nigerians stranded in Ukraine as a result of the Russia-Ukraine situation have refused to return home.

Geoffrey Onyeama, the minister of foreign affairs, stated this in Abuja on Monday at a meeting with Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“We aim to begin evacuation on Wednesday,” he continued, “but some people do not want to return.”
We’re doing everything we can to guarantee that planes are dispatched for examination on Wednesday.”
